This will be my first venture back into modeling. Boy, things sure have changed since I was twelve! The models are much more detailed and slightly more expensive. I plan to make this a realistic build, meaning I don't want to simply paint the parts and assemble it. I plan on making the car look slightly "weathered". Kind of like it would be if it were a year or two old. Some signs of rust, dirt and grime. I'll keep you posted as my work progresses.
08/29/2008: I finally opened the kit that my wife bought for me back in December of 2007 for Christmas. Seeing as I can no longer build the 1:1 scale Factory Five Cobra, this Shelby replica will have to suffice. After I opened it, I went directly to step one and started to paint the cylinder heads and oil pan with a brush. Umm, no. I think I'll need to airbrush these parts and then 'black wash' them. How do I do this? Well, I'm not really sure myself, but there are plenty of modeling forums on the internet and in-between classes, I'll check them out and learn. Just like I did with the Cobra.
